Angry Sandwich Chronicles is a new concept i’ve been working on the first moment I came across a demo of Manga Studio.
I plan to publish it as a continuous webcomic. but I still need alot of input about storylines and what not. Even the made up names aren’t set yet.
So if anyone has a thought on matters or storylines, just leave a comment.
Angry Sandwich Chronicles is about a couple of resident that live in a three story apartment. On the 1st (or ground-) floor is a Deli called the Angry Sandwich, which is run by an Imp called Felix.
Felix rents the apartment to the residents. One of the residents, a carnivorous emo saberbunny live in the staircase on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor lives a werewolf called Al who shares his apartment with his friend Rolloduck, a wind-up duck toy. Phill on the other hand doesnt have an apartment of his own, he ussually resides on the coatpegs in the hall way of the first floor, or lies around the place after someone played with him but forgot to clean him up.
There is also an attic in the apartment, which is known as ”The Paradise of Eternal Junk” which is an ever-changing setting which offers alot of adventures.
I still have alot of thoughts for the comic to start a life, but i am very curious about the thought you guys have.
Any thoughts are much apreciated.

My recent search for a decent and payable graphics program to get my art to the next level, has brought me to a point i didn’t expect to end. Surprisingly, this has been of good advantage.
I was searching the web for a reasonable priced version of either Coreldraw or any graphic Adobe program. But sadly reasonable priced and programs mentioned above don’t co-exist. So I found several other freeware/shareware products. But none had the package i really wanted. And i must say, i still don’t have everything i want yet. But I came across smithmirco.com on where they promoted MANGA STUDIO and ANIME STUDIO.

Not really my gig, I thought. But after a demo version I was kinda surprised by the versatility of both programs. Manga Studio, recent version 4 comes in two versions, a proffesional one, and a downgraded consumer version. Which mainly focusses on black and white (color possible) comics.
Anime Studio has a different approach on graphic art. Which is the animation of 2D cartoons as example South Park. Fun to add some cool motions on the website for a wider aspect of my skills.
Both programs sold by Smith Micro are below 50$ for the consumer version. Both programs are very basic but offer a great way to expand the drawing style with tones, special effects and for the latter easy-to-use animation styles.

I just started to explore these magnificent programs myself, found some tutorials here and there on the web and youtube.com and will publish some stuff once i get the hang of it. Perhaps it will shine a new light on style and inspiration.
I’m excited, check out the demo!

Here’s a quick view of the new batch of shirts, i apologize for not finding a decent model to show them off, yet…

Since the update of the site, i’ve added a new page under “Interactive” called “Requests”
In an earlier post on my blog I kinda explained a bit of it, but now it’s too easy to miss, and no sweat at all!
There’s a form which u can use by filling in your name and email adress and a comment on what you like to see. There’s still alot of drawing to do, go ahead and try me! Some people already asked me to draw something for them, and here are some examples;
Mattheo: “Can you make me a drawing from the Efteling’s Dragon ?” (note; a dutch themepark item)

Marjan: “Wanna try making me a logo for my Country linedancegroup called “Step by Step”

A local band According to You in “Indi Style”

Finally my buttonmachine and me are friends and have a good understanding towards eachother now
Soon I will update the products page with real picture of shirt and will add a brand new button section as well.
I already have a wide array for fancy 56mm buttons !! They will be sold seperately for 2€ a piece, and mostlikely 3 for 5€. So keep a close eye on the products comming weeks to catch more more pix and discounts.

On the way to my own front door, for the mailman to hand me over my brand new gadget, I bumped my head against the doorpost and I ended up getting 11 stiches in my head. Bloody mess all around. Gladly I didnt pass out, so that was my first inspiration to sketch on my new tablet.
It was worth it! But I rather won’t do it again.

Since the new look of the site, I’ve been saving up for some upgrades. After using my Wacom Bamboo tablet I recently upgraded this piece of hardware for a Wacom “Intuos 3 A4 - Special Edition” tablet. Which is bigger, better and super sexy. It comes with a tablets based pen, mouse and an airbrush. So it will prolly affect my digital drawing, only to hope for the better.

And after not only upgrading the hardware, I also decided to host my website at a proffesional hosting company. Which means every map you might’ve put into any “Favorites” folder might not work after a while. Since the whole indi-d.DNSALIAS crap is history.
The only thing waiting for now, is the new batch of shirts going for sale.
